580 Bus Service Reduction

HPC have been in contact with Lonsdale Buses regarding concerns raised by the community. The Operations Director at KLCH (Kirby Lonsdale Coach Hire) has offered to attend the next Parish Council Meeting on Wednesday 20 May at 7:30pm in the Institute to explain the reasons behind the reduction in services.

The agenda will be posted on Friday 15 May.

Date of next meeting – Wednesday May 20th at 7:30 in the Institute.
All meetings are open to the public and press. The public however, are reminded that they are not permitted to take part in any discussions without the permission of the Council. At the start of each meeting, the Chairman will ask if any members of the public present have any items to bring to the attention of the Council.

Description of works:  Road closure for contour patching     

The Restriction will be in place for a period of 5 days between 23rd April 2026 and 27th April 2026

Mobile Library Service

We’re pleased to confirm that we are now ready to finalise the plans to introduce a mobile library service to Hellifield. The service was launched in January, next visit scheduled for Thursday 16th April  at 11.45 am. The mobile library will then visit every four weeks, with each visit lasting approximately 1 hour. The vehicle will park in the car park on Back Lane.

Fencing now complete - Feb 2026

Some of the Assault Course is currently out of use. Chains have been removed due to wear and tear and for safety purposes.

Repair/replacement is currently awaiting funding
