PLANNED ROAD RESTRICTION NOTIFICATION - 255239 Hellifield Road
Location: Hellifield Road, Gargrave CP, Gargrave, Unknown
Description of works: Road closure for remedial works, road to be closed between the hours of 00:00 and 05:00 am
The Restriction will be in place for a period of 5 days between 14th April 2026 and 18th April 2026. it is envisaged that the works will take place for 1 day only

Mobile Library Service
We’re pleased to confirm that we are now ready to finalise the plans to introduce a mobile library service to Hellifield. The service will be launched in January 2026. The mobile library will visit every four weeks, at 11:45 am with each visit lasting approximately 1 hour. The vehicle will park in the car park on Back Lane. Dates for 2026 are listed below
Collapsing retaining wall, Main Road Gargrave NYC are proposing:
- Lane closure and 2-way signals to be implemented in the morning (Friday 3 October) and footway closure
- Proposing to remove the pedestrian island so the road can remain fully open to traffic, asap
- Verge below highlighted to be closed off, ped route closed signs etc.
- Removal of road studs (cats) eyes and blacking out road markings
- Instruction to a contractor to clear vegetation on Saturday (4 October) under 2 way signals
- Structures Engineers are meeting a contractor on site next week to discuss options for a rebuild, hopefully works will be completed before Christmas
- Approx 4 weeks before mobilisation on site and dependant on discussions, we may be able to work in the space available 2 way traffic rather than lane closure / 2 way signals which would be much better from a network disruption perspective
