Hellifield is a parish in the Craven district of North Yorkshire. It lies on the edge of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park and is just a stone’s throw from the Forest of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Surrounded by stunning scenery, it provides a good base for walkers who can roam amongst the rolling hills, dry stonewalls and agricultural land.
 
Hellifield is also a great place to live. A thriving community having the benefit of its own primary school, church and chapel, pub, club, village hall, local shops and businesses to serve the village . It has good road, bus and train connections to West Yorkshire and Cumbria and is directly linked to the famous Settle to Carlisle train line.

A well-known and beautiful phenomenon around the village are the Hellifield Flashes, which are large natural ponds in the fields that provide an important part of the habitat for migratory birds.

Flashes Leisure Development Update
The planning application for the Leisure Development is scheduled to be on the agenda at Craven Districts Planning Committee held on Monday 20th November 2017 at the council's offices at Belle Vue Mills, Skipton. There will be an opportuinity for applicants, agents, objectors and the Parish Council to address the planning committee prior to consideration of the application at the meeting.
